I noticed the price for 50 of the 225 gr FTX at Midway is more than Third Gen or Natchez charged for 100. Midway is buying in bulk and re-packaging in one of their blue boxes.

Cabelas has the 200 grain .452's on sell for $24 and the 225's for $27 both in boxes of 50
anybody shot any of these enough to know how they will perform on critters and or targets,,, the 200 is probably pretty short,,, any idea If it will have enough bearing surface to stabalize either saboted in a .50 cal or sabotless in a .45?

I have shot both the 200 gr and 225 gr FTX. The 200 didn't do so well for me, but that was when I was still trying to find the best sabot to use in the Thumbhole. I need to try them again with the MMP-SB, and sabotless in the 45. The 225 gr shot pretty well in the 50, and very well sabotless in the 45.
What shoot2 said is exactly the point I was trying to make. I have bought several 100 count boxes of the 225 FTX for about $26.00 each. Midways price for Blems is that much for a 50 count box! Not a good deal.
