Welcome falcon, I see from your profile that you are old enough to vote. I am several years older but enjoy reading and posting on the board. Look the board over. You will find a variety of sections that may interest you. The porch is a place where we discuss anything. No restrictions there on subject matter. Also, would enjoy reading your lifes interests and experiences. I am an old retired Army Sergeant and have done most everything at one time or another. Again, welcome and feel free to get involved. Am 71 years old and i retired from the US Army in 1979. My military occupation is EOD and that is what i do in civilian life as well. Worked overseas, mostly in the middle east, for 7 years. Am currently mostly retired and live just west of Lawton, OK.
My serious hobbies are shooting, planting game plots and improving wildlife habitat on our places, and hog hunting; especially hog hunting with a muzzleloader.
Thanks for welcoming me to the board. Am looking forward to learning from the great folks here.

As an experienced EOD specialist I would be very surprised if you need instructions regarding he safety of the Smokeless muzzle loader. I respect what you have done and appreciate your service. Thanks.

Falcon..........Welcome to the board! I am a 28 year veteran of a city police department in NJ, but migrated to NC (up in the hills) ten years ago. I had been the armorer for our 100 man PD just about all my career and got involved in benchrest shooting in the early 90's. I subsequently got involved in building my own competition rifles (chambering and fitting etc). About three years ago I got involved with these smokeless ML's and am addicted ;D I now do a lot of work on members ML's (bedding, adding and extra pillar, installing custom barrels etc.) If you ever have any questions, shoot me a PM and I can give you a phone number. And yes, I also shot a hog here in NC with a .454 Raging Bull. Richard

Hello Falcon..
I'm a couple hours west of Richard in the bigger hills of NC,,, and I can attest to the effect the savage ML2 has on hogs,,, works real well,,,, we have some wild boar strain left in our wild hogs, I got a couple this year,, one with the savage,
