NICE!
I am also a story addict and yours looks good. More info is necessary to keep the monkey away.

Nothing special really. He is shooting a stock MLII and I am shooting a SS MLII that Richard bedded in a Boyds thumbhole stock.
Two does came in close (about 85 yards) in a soybean field right after first light. He shot first and dumped one doe (we could not see where she dropped in the beans along a hedgerow. You can see the hedgerow to the left of the 4-wheeler. The bean field we were in is on that side. I did not see the other doe take off, so quickly scanned the beans. The other doe was standing still, and I took that shot.
We stayed on stand a little longer and saw a young 14" 8 point within easy range, but gave him a pass.
When we got down, both deer were within 15 yards of each other. Perfect shoulder hits and they both dropped where they were standing.
We hunted the same stand in the evening and had the same 8 point within 30 yards. Saw another doe with a fawn, but passed on her too. Had 4 does at 110 yards last weekend at a different stand, but we didn't want to shoot.
Tomorrow is last day of ML season, and I think we will be looking to take another doe or two if we do not see any shooter bucks.
Thanks for your interest guys.

Congratulations. Great photo too. I love that magical lighting level when shades of gray come to life with color. Makes you glad you are out there to witness it.
