I was reading this months Predator Xtreme magazine and ran across an article that lit my fuse. It was Brush Popping by Jason Cox It talks about hunting dogs in very heavy cover. WE DO THAT, but he has some wonderful ideas and hints. I sometimes take the 870 but NEVER take my shotgun AND rifle.Just to much for this old man to lug around, bad enough to get my lard A$$ out to the sets anymore,BUT. I'm going to try all the suggestions,'cept the ladder ASAP. I love to slam coyotes with my shotgun. It got me so lit up I ran out and loaded some more #F lead 3 1/2" shells...Do any of you people hunt this style?

Slugger, you failed to describe the ideas and hints the ariical described. So, we can't say if we have hunted that style or not. What was the wonderful ideas and hints? Maybe I am missing something in the post. Ben

It's Eastern Virginia and it's all thick if you're not sitting on a field. And it's mostly shotgun with the rifle trained downwind out in the field. That is why I shoot #10 Browning gold auto or my old #10 Ithaca AutoMag. Course they been tricked out a little like any good shootin shotgun should be. When they go off somethin dies downrange! Best, 10 ga
