Got home in time to shoot before dark. My first group was just getting on the target with 58gr n120 195bx knurled. This load did not shoot too good, 1 3/4 at 100 yards. After moving the scope, this was shot with 59gr n120 and knurled 195 bx. No sabot problems, and waiting 3 minutes between shots. I am in love with this encore conversion. JDMAX Attachments:

Tar, this is a 45-70,26" prohunter barrel that SMI put a breech plug in. 1-20 twist. JDMAX

Also is SMI the only game in town for a breech plug?What twists are these barrels offered in? Can you take this up to 62 grn and report back? ;D BTW,thanks for the trigger adjustment reply...

Slufoot does H&R 45/70 conversions using a Savage plug, possibly an option. Worth a PM at least.
