I want to start by saying thanks to all the members here who have helped me in the past 2 weeks.
I am trying to decide which base and rings I need for my new ML-II. I was planning on using Talley Lightweights. They are one piece and I have used them in the past.
What recommendations or opinions do you have?
Thanks,
ddj

I have a very strong opinion especially on bases, ken farrell is what i use for two reasons. 1. they are very strong and very straight 2. they have increased height for easy access to priming
there is a downside.....they are heavy (7 ozs for the savage) and they need to be bedded as does any one piece base on the MLII
I like the leupold QRW rings, but i like to be able to remove my scope and reinstall readily..
everyone here has their likes but this is mine...Bill

The steel grand slam weavers worked great for me. I don't think there's less expensive steel option out there if you're going the budget route.

I started with Tally, then went with Burris Tactical, and ended up with Farrell on Farrell.
