:)guys been so busy with the little one and all the household choirs but over the last month I did squeeze 2 range sessions with my 700. Conditions were in the 80's and some wind I just don't remember how much. Both times I shot one 100yrd group and one 200yrd group. Load was 56grs of 4198, havestor smooth blue and a 200grs xtp. Here's the targets:100yrds 1/2" 200yrds 1 3/4" 100yrds 1 1/4" 200yrds 1 13/16"

I see you havn't lost any of the trigger effect. It sounds like the little one is doing well and probably not so little any more? They grow up fast next you know when you go to the range you will be a happy instructor and proud father. Jon

thanks guys. Jon he is getting big he's 22 months and he's already 27pds, 34". I was looking at him last night with amazement and saying to myself boy he's growing to fast. He amazes me everyday I love him so much. If he takes up the sport when he gets older I will visit the range more often.

I would take that shooting any day. Goes to show, more powder is not always the answer.

Well Dun Dave! Do you hunt with the XTP's or just practice and use Barnes 195's for huntin? Wondering if the xtp's would stay together as hunting load? Mark

:)hey thanks again for all the kind words guys. Dave we would love to have more but we will have to see if the good lord will bless us again. Mark I've shot quite a few deer with this bullet and it performed well. The couple that didn't go thru that I recovered still were intached but were just on the edge of separation. I would definitely avoid heavy bone at close range with them.

Dave, very nice. What fps do you think you're getting at 56gr of 4198? Is that H or I?
