Does anyone here use smokeless powder in their TC Pro Hunter? If so, what loaded do you use and how do they compare using pellets?

Stock TC? Not recommended by the manufacturer and discussion of such frowned upon for safety concerns.
Custom with appropriate mods? Sure, guys here are doing it.

And a more beefy breech plug? SMI does a custom barrel and plug for around $400. If you want a .45 caliber and have a 45/70 barrel they will add a plug for a bit over $100 I think. Properly converted you will not have the cleaning issues the pellets create and can shoot much faster as well. Most importantly, no smoke

Smokeless Muzzleloading Inc. A gun-smithing outfit in Indiana. They do smokeless conversions on H&R/NEFs and TCs. There's a link to their website at the top of the main forum page.
Also, take a look at the load database that is in the links at the top of the smokeless forum page. Lots of info for all kinds of bullet/powder combos in various calibers to get a good idea of what is possible compared to pellets.

There are a few of us who have PacNor.45 barrels setup for our Encore's. I am still working the bugs out of mine. There is a custom breech plug in the work's. So far I have gotten 1.25 @ 100 yd groups with mine...just dinking around with it. But the first one from a member on this board shot a 1.3 inch group with his at 300 yds if I remember correctly... They are shooters thats for sure. But there are other ways to go also. But I would NOT use anything other than what T/C recomends. there are plenty of pioneer's here on this board to guide you in a safe direction. If I can be of anymore help feel free to pm me. Drop
