I'm calling Penny today and ordering a .45 cal barrel for one of my Savages. Here we're limited to bullets of .375" dia or larger, and ML barrels of .44 cal or larger.
So, what should I have on hand for testing purposes? I will not be shooting sabotless.

My gun shoots Barnes 195bx better than sst, xtp or nosler.
I shoot them in Harvester Blue (not crush rib) sabot.

Thanks guys. I had to leave a message at Pac-Nor, waiting for them to return the message. I'll call Barnes and see about getting the blue Harvestors in the meantime.

:)Scott get the xtps to plink and practice with and the Barnes to hunt with. The smooth blue havestors are the only sabot you will need. You are going to love your new .45. Goodluck

Might want to consider the Nosler .40 cal 200 grainers. When I got mine from MidSouth I think they were cheaper and "seemed" to shoot better in my Pac

Thats right the 200xtp actually shoots just a little tighter for me and a little high and right of the Barnes,,, both group very well though and the 200 xtp is ALOT cheaper never used the nosler,,,,, wish they would make a 200 grain .40 partition

all supplied sabots for .40 bullets are mmp which dont fair as well as the havestors. The link you provided is crush ribs which you don't want. You need the smooth blues.

the 200 ssts shoot very well in my guns and do double duty as paper punchers and deer getters...
the smooth blue harvesters can be had at midsouth, have 600 on the way now...
