Nice looking setup, That looks like it would be fun to shoot a deer with. How is the recoil on it?

recoil is stiff. I have not shot a handgun chambered in a handgun round over a .44 recoil wise. this is more than that but not to much more than my 7mm08 15" encore.

Is that built on a Striker action? Do they use the transfer bar like the XP-100's to move the trigger forward? Looks good! A nice set up would be with a .40 cal. barrel, go sabot less and install a brake ;D Richard

yes that is a striker action. they have a bar and the trigger is mushy but I worked on it a little. in NY to hunt with it it has to be .44 or greater because its a ML. for what I have into this one barrel and breech plug wise I can not complain (under 200) as I had the striker already. this is what I did with my other striker to fix the trigger linkage problem. this action might have the same fate. the only trouble is the rear grip is less forgiving shooting off sticks but much better off a pod

Anybody that wants to make a .45 pacnor version let me know, I think you could get a good barrel out of my bulged pacnor and it would be yours for the shipping, I just don't trust that bulged area and cutting it out will make it to short for a rifle

The only problem you might run into is the diameter of the barrel forward of the bulge . It may not be wide enough to cut the threads. When I bulged mine, I had to take careful measurements as to how much to remove to allow sufficient diameter for cutting the external threads. If it gets thinner than 1.059", you are out of luck! Three inches was the most I could remove and still have enough barrel to cut the threads. Fortunately, PN leaves quite a bit of "thick barrel" prior to starting the taper. SAVAGE on the other hand, starts their taper right on the last few threads . You bulge a Savage barrel and you are S-O-L ;D Richard

I think you could do this one so that the bulge would be on the breech side of the plug threads or not there at all,, I thought about it but it would make it so short as to be an impracticle rifle and ML pistols are not legel to hunt with here in NC,,, glad to help someone out with my $$$ mater stake
