I do, snug fit in the gun if i do my part the shots are where i want them go. it is easy to do I have a piece of rock maple mounted to my bench and a 12 inch bastard file and i put the bullet down on the wood and start the file at the nose end and roll it back and forth a couple of times and it is done, the harder you push down the rougher the knurl

I knurl.
I found it gives a better fit, and better accuracy with less fliers. (Using .458 bullets and smooth black Harvester sabot.)
Also, on my gun when I trimmed down the harvester sabots length to the size of an MMP short I got slightly better accuracy and even less fliers with the knurled bullets.
Hope this helps,

I have tried knurling with the Barnes 195 and the SST's and have found no difference what so ever with accuracy? Richard

I think it is a matter of how the bullet-sabot fits your barrel. If your present combination loads with less than 40# pressure I think knurling will help. If your present combo. fits tight enough now, I do not think it helps much.

I knurl Barnes 250 gr TMZ for my 50 cal. I use supplied yellow sabots. They load stiff without knurling, but accuracy is very much better with the knurled bullets.

I put a light knurl on the 195g Barnes. My 45 pacnor is on the high side, (.450 to .451), land to land. Many have reported bores in the .448 to .449 range. It snugs up the fit and the groups for me.

Knurling the 200xtp and the barnes 195 helped alot in my encore conversion, smaller groups and no , well fewer flyers
