whats the shortest you guys have gone and what are the results? got a project going and I am just wondering what to expect

.45 or .50? For what it's worth, I think N110 burns in 14" of barrel so from the shortest legal barrel it wouldn't lose much if anything in fps.

50. working on a savage striker handgun build. barrel will be just under the 16" max allowed for hunting in NY got a factory take off barrel from a ML-II. do not want to shoot the same load or bullet out of this as my ML-II just because it will not be needed for the ranges I will be shooting this at

Was told by ATF that muzzle loaders were non regulated. I would assume that would cover the restriction on barrel length being non regulated. Always wondered if that would mean mufflers were legal, mufflers are legal on pellet guns, why not muzzle loaders?

just like the encore and contender custom shop 209x50 handgun length barrels you can buy. it is still on my pistol permit so it is legal

Hey Twoodard,, I had a 21 inch pacnor 45 and it shot great,,, needed to use faster powder to get speed,, or duplex,,, That 21 inch pacnor now has a bulge about 4 inches from the breach,,, it would make for a mean pistol barrel in a pacnor .45 with the bulge cut out, let me know if you are interested
