I,m going to try and build a Rem with PN barrel what cal should I go with 45 or 50.And why?,The rifle will be for hunting ,shots range from 50yd to 300yd.

If you can use 45 cal rifles with 40 cal or larger bullet in sabots where you intend to hunt then I see no reason not to go with 45 cal. Nothing against the 50 but the 45 has the distinct advantage of shooting lighter, higher BC bullets faster, flatter, and with less recoil than the best proven loads out of the 50 cal.

:)don't ask me I'm alittle partial ;D. Seriously the .45 is a great caliber for sabots and sabotless. Imo its more versatile.

Going to pick up the Remington 700ml tomorrow cant wait to get this project started. Looks like I'll go with the 45cal,what twist do I need.Thanks for all the help,I know I will have alto more questions.
