Shot this AM using 200 gr XTP Harv Blue CR, Win primers and no swabbing.. It was 58 degrees when I started and 70 when I quit. No wind. I shot 58,59 and 60 Grs of H 4198.With 58 grs after a fouling shot I shot an inch and a quarter group, with 59 got a 2inch group and with 60 grs. 2 1/2". Last week I shot a cloverleaf touching with 56 grs of H 4198 with the 200 gr sst but then blue sabots with 57 grs. I am going to try the Harv smooth sabot next. Can't wait til the Barnes flat base bullets arrive. I want very much to hunt with those. I will learn to post pics MAYBE one of these days. Sorry for now, Rusty---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ONE THING I forgot to mention Most not all of my spent primers the cap its self had backed out maybe a 64th of an Inch and there was a white dust building up on the face of the bolt. I do not remember this happening when I shot it last week with 56 grs of H 4198. Is this normal? One more thing to note is, after the barrel was installed, the bolt closed very hard. Since I cleaned it and reassembled after shooting last week, the bolt closes very easy. Thanks again, Rusty

Rusty...........if you can shoot 1 1/4" groups on a regular basis, you will get some sub one inchers in there also. The plain Harvesters may be just the ticket! Richard

Sounds like you're on the right track. While I have never had H4198 blow a sabot with XTP's having gone up to 62grs with my 27" barrel. I have noticed that my groups will start to open up as the heat builds. What I'm saying is 60gr's may be on OK shooter for you too (gonna be hard to better a clover leaf though ).
