for medical reasons for quite some time I probable will not be able to shoot my 22lr. That is my reason for asking about a hands off rest. Plus some of the experimenting I'll be doing I would prefer to not be behind the rifle. Thus the stress test gage etc. Any help would be appreciated I'm only able to shoot paper as it is. I don't want to quit for a couple of years. Jon

I have a bum shoulder as well but the lead sled soaks up ALOT of recoil, add a couple of 25 pound shot bags and it is solid! I just have one shot bag and a bag of sand on mine to keep the shot from moving around,,, you can also put a few sand bags around the sled to support your arms well. That helped me shoot better with mine,,, I avoided surgery but was lucky in that aspect as wounds healed for the most part with care and lots of therapy to keep the shoulder from getting "stiff".
After double loading my ML2 and bulging the barrel my shoulder is slightly sore from the lead sled coming back hard from the blast, Recoil from that load felt like a light 7mm-08 load,,,,, I would have been in pain for a month if not for the sled.

I thought I asked a simple question I'm looking for a hands off rest. I know they are out there. I just didn't want to guess. I have numeres rests including a dfl. I think they are great I'm looking for a hands off rest. Does any one have any experance with them? I'll just say That is what I'm looking for. Thank you for any help I understand most are Hunters and I wish I was capable but I'm not. Jon
