I previously worked primarily with the 260 gr. nosler partitian .451 hollow pt. bullets and added a lead buckshot and reformed them into a spire point bullet and concaved the base to help the bullet with better obturation. The addition of the buckshot and removal of the base almost washed and I was left with a finished weight of approx. 260 grains. This bullet performed perfectly on this years moose hunt , but I was not really pleased with the addition of the lead tip which was really only held in place by a friction fit, so I managed to obtain some of the same partitian bullets in the 300 gr.(thanks Lou). These bullets are not hollow pt. and the lead frontal core fills the hollow pt. I thought that these would be better suited for my spitzer modification, since no additional lead was necessary. I spitzerized the bullet in my forming die and forced the lead core out to form the spire nose, when I concaved the base the finished weight of this bullet was approx. 280 grains. After resizing these bullets to .450 dia. for my .45 cal sabotless application, these should be the ticket for just about anything they are presented with. Here's a pic of before and after. the bullet on the far left is the 260 gr. version, the remaining bullets are the new improved 280 gr. heres the origional 260 version with the addition of the lead buckshot and this years recovered 260 grain.

just reworked my nosler die ( again ). Didn't quite like the blunt nose. first attempt. new improved. don't know if it helps anything but they sure look pretty and a definate confindence builder. I'm sure it won't hurt performance or accuracy.

Gorgeous work! Are you doing that 100% with dies, or is there some lathe work involved also?
Did you shoot that expanded bullet sabotless? (It looks like an impression of powder kernels in the base!)

(It looks like an impression of powder kernels in the base!) the reforming is all done with dies, final sizing in another die the concave base is then cut with a lathe. Yes those are good old H4198 kernal impressions just before complete combustion.

well those came out pretty!!
Need to rework your ramrod now so they don't get all deformed.
Remind me to send some of those Swifts your way, I think they're gonna need a good size pellet to fill in that huge hollow point thou.

They kinda remind me of those huge shells I saw in the movie "The Guns of Navarone" featuring one of H-Woods true acting greats Gregory Peck.
I am guessing the finished product would be to costly to be viable for resale to those interested.
Still nicest looking 10ML bullets I have seen so far.
