We had not hit this farm yet this year so as dawn broke we were easing down a old logging road and soon split up as we always do..we soon both zero in on a cutter that we both heard...we were so close to each other he heard the scope caps open on my rifle and knew it was to late for him to shoot him...he heard the rifle crack and saw No.1 hit the ground...it was tit for tat from that point on...we limited out in short order....we saw a incredible amount of squirrels this morning....I had to eat crow for 2 body shots! You would think I would learn to keep my mouth shut! This unfortunate fellow met his demise via my sons CZ Varmint Mach2...it is hell on squirrel heads!

It must have been warm out there today, even in the woods.

Reminds me of Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny...do you think the squirrel cares what you were wearing

It must have been warm out there today, even in the woods. It was 80 by 10:00 am...I was ready to leave!

The place I have muzzle loader hunted for deer for the last 2 weeks is covered up in squirrel's, once season opens I'll be back in there I think it opens next week. I'm out of pressure canned squirrel, need to get enough to run a canner full.
