Been lurking a bit. Have used BP for a while and decided to go smokeless. I'm not a bench guy really just a deer hunter. I have a 10 ML II on order but kind of wish I came here first. Sorta excited about the mods/conversions I've read about. Anyway, I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions but I'll try to find out first without cluttering things up.

Not bad in your area either, spent a couple weeks in a house on the shore of a nice little lake there once back in the 80's,,, bet you have alot more deer there!

A lot of deer, not a lot of size. Good for the freezer though. That said, I shot two of my best bucks this year (that's not saying a lot by the standards of some--one that is probably 120 class and one that maybe pushes 130).

Welcome moose! Yeah, I don't eat the racks. A nice one is about 70# and real tender. Plenty of info here and you will get any problems solved PDQ if ya just ask. I had some pains when I went SML. I'm pretty much just a hunter but like to stay sharp with lots of different kinds of "trigger time". After shooting "smokey" guns for 45 years it has been a great advantage to go SML. If ya have any problems just come on the board and search out some advice with the search engine or just ask and question away. The guys here were my saviors a couple years ago. At first it seemed an impossible amount of stuff to get my mind around but it's really pletty simple. so, heat is the enemy of sabots, good tight fit for sabot/bullet combo is good, consistent technique, talk and discuss success and failure with other SML ers. Again welcome, 10 ga
