Shot a small doe this past weekend. 55 yards bang flop. The thor bullets provide typical barnes performance. If you want to shoot sabotless from a .50 and they shoot for you, I don't think you can get better terminal performance. Entrance basically .50 (she's wet from dragging across a shallow creek so kind of hard to see) entrance from the inside- exit from the inside- exit from outside- This is the 5th deer taken with the 250gr Thor over 42gr of N110 with a fed 209A, from 20-150 yds, with none going farther than 15 yards and most dropping on the spot without major bone being hit. Awesome performance from a hunting bullet, makes me wonder why I'm even messing with building .45s

Congrats on some nice meat for the freezer. Thanks for taking the time to provide pictures of specific bullet performance.
As for building a 45 you have probably succumbed to the seduction of owning one. Hey I’m periodically tempted also but with what’s currently left to still learn with the 50 it’s still the main driving force for me at the moment.
