Forgive me Guys, but I cannot find what is the maximum allowable diameter for the vent liner orifice? Thanks for your help!!! There is no specific size mentioned for the vent liner orifice. My limited experience dictates to me that once .035” is exceeded my groups begin to start losing accuracy. Others in the past have mentioned they have gone as high as .038”. By monitoring your vent orifice size and group size you can determine what is best for you. Ed I forgot to mention this is for using 4759 in a 50Cal. Who knows if a slightly larger range size might be more beneficial for using 4198 or slower burning powder?

I'm thinking most guys pitch them at .035" like ET. I also got the impression that .035" is getting to the point where BH 209 really comes into its own. Others with experience with BH 209 can agree or refute that. I've only used smokeless in mine.
