go to rayonier hunting, go to properties now, click on map tab at the top left of page, switch background tab on upper right of map lets you go to topo, find your area ,rightclick save picture, print. FREE. I know you could probably use google earth or some other program, but this is how I do it. Hope it helps somebody here....!!!!! Greenhorn

I was just scouting Eglin Air force Base, My hunting "LEASE", on the rayonier site, one thing that I really like about it is the GPS coordinates on the bottom left corner of the screen. The coordinates correspond with where my cursor is on the map. I find a place I like, put the coordinates in my GPS. I'm good to go.

Some of the newer GPS will let you download a "super quad" right into the GPS. Some of the newer high end units will even let you download a 3D version and satellite photos from Summit. A lot of older GPS units will let you download off a disc, I have the old Topo USA on disc but it is not as good as the newer version you can download from natgeomaps.com

Looks like a good way to get free views, but unfortunately no topo data for my area. No biggee though as I bought the hard copy from USGA many moons ago.

I have used MyTopo. It isn't free, but I can get a custom 7.5 map that may be parts of 3 or 4 quads. The map can be ordered with a water resistant finish.

The way to get it free from my topo is when the program lets you look at the smaller sample of your map, you right click and save. Then move your cursor for another SAMPLE and so forth, print them all up , arrange them to make your own map tape them at the seams with clear tape, laminate yourself, practically free also. If I can save a dollar or two here or there ,I can put it in my gas tank and go hunting one more time. Times are hard . If you go to a new place to hunt, like a management area , I use these maps to prescout and get aquainted with the area, the topos really tell the story of how the land is laid out and sometimes will show you an old road or thicket that doesn't show up on satellite views.
