Just purchased a slightly used silver Zeiss Conquest to replace the silver Nikon Prostaff on my Savage. The Nikon is 1" and Im pretty sure the Zeiss is 30mm. What stainless base and rings does every one recommend and does anybody have a set they want to sell?

All Zeiss Conquest scope tubes are 1" tube diameter. I use TPS(Tactical Precision systems) HRT aluminum rings with Warnes bases. These rings are flat tough and precision machined so there is no need to lap the rings for a precision scope fit. www.tacticalprecision.com/HRT%20Scope%20Rings.htmYou can buy them from Brownells also.

Near Manufacturing is about the only company I know using SS for mounts and rings. Expensive yes but probly the best out there IMO. They even are better then Badger Ordinance. The Warne while not SS is about as tough as the Near and is far cheaper. Also there is Farrell.
TPS rings are at the top of my list but then again expensive. I have been looking at the Burris XTs. Although aluminum they do have more grip area then others.

Those Burris Aluminum tactical rings are big and tough! Six screws in each ring. I believe they will stand side by side with any of the steel rings. Mine are attached to the Farrell one piece steel base. Over 800 shots and no complaints what so ever. Same goes for my Burris short Mag Scope. Richard

First let me say that when your talking with me your talking with a self proclaimed idiot.
I said stainless rings but I really meant silver in color. i have a stainless barrell and a beautiful Richard's stock finished by Richard. I just want a tough as heck mount that will blend my stainless barrell with my Silver Zeiss.
Best bases and Rings are???
Richard I apologize for not updating you sooner but Ive been so busy trying to keep my job in this economy that I havent been able to shoot the Savage with the new Stock. But i got a few days off ahead of me and that is on my list of want to dos Its hell being goodlooking instead of rich!!!

Volsgo1, No experience but heard the deadnutz mount/ring combo is good. It is an aluminum one piece base and lower ring assembly and available in a silver finish. dnzproducts.com/index.phpThat said, I switched to the Burris XTR tactical rings that Richard likes. They are black aluminum but hell for strong. I'm convinced, no rings in the world compare to them in their price range.
