Today I went to the range for one last session, of benchings with the 350 Barnes X bullet, I was using 68 and 69 grs of H4198, it was what we call cool here 61 degree's. I brought a sissy bag, but I couln'd get comfortable with it so I just shot without it The first three shot group was exceptional, the ones I like to post.....hey look at me I'm a shooter. ;D During the change over I was seating, and I realize I had the beginning of a headache. So I desided to pack it in, I had my zero, time to just shot if the sticks, recoil is no problem with the sticks [offhand] But I was there so I might as well shoot some more, the second group opened up to just about two inches. I am no longer recoil proof. So I here by leave to young guys [Wilmsmeyer] getting beat up, with heavy loads, from now on the sticks are for me.

No, I'd like to make sure, when I pop a cap at a Browny, he will go down, and not look for the clown, that shoot him, who is trying to reload.

Wish I could come along and be your gun bearer. By the way, I'm not young....I'm 41.....almost 42 ;D
Aim for the shoulder socket or the head. Break him down. You won't feel a thing. Then "calmly" reload while your adrenaline makes you shake like a crack baby!

Maybe you should be doing more running? ;D ;D ;D Just kidding I remember you describing your training regimine and it's more than I could do right now I think. I wish I was going up there with you. When talking about big hunts, it seems like everyone wants to shoot an elk out west. Not me! I want to head North and shoot a brown bear. Go figure. Someday it might happen, but it definitely not in my near future.

8-)So I've had my teeth rattled. It happens, but let's try not to make it a habit. That's why I don't shoot my cape buffalo load (400 grain bullet 2175fps) every day. Maybe aspirin will help and you'll be back to the range soon.
I'm in the crowd that's got to jump on Wilms for saying 42 in not young... maybe not to you!

I'll be back at it on Thurday, Ive always beleive if you back up from something once, the next time it will be easier, and before you know it, your a wimp, to late in life to change.....have only one speed....all ahead full....that from a infantrymen No matter what wilmsmeyer says he just a boy, and I hope he can stay that way for a long, long time. We need someone to carry on with the Buffalo load, and I guess, he's it.

It used to be: "FOLLOW ME." it changed to: "I will be up there later." then to: If you need anything, give me a call?" Then it came down to: "When you finish give me a report.: " Now, it is: "Since I can't hear, put it on paper and mail it:"

Would I be right, in thinking none of that apply's to you.
From your posts I'd say you belong to 'all ahead full" group
