Thanks to Dave D. and Al for all of their help.
Basic REm 700ml action, Hunter's bolt face and Savage Hex breech plug. 25" Pacnor 45 SS barrel, and original Rem 700 ml Stock. Had to sand a little to make barrel fit.
Shots were with 200 XTP and blue smooth harvester sabot.
My intention was to simply figure out velocity, but ended up shooting the best ever group with smokeless.
Shot number 1 was clean barrel..
Temp 77* and I only waited long enough between shots to shoot some compressed air down the barrel and then reload.

Great news , Dave and Hunter did a great job setting up these do-it yourself tack driving 700ml kits. I have one ordered myself and can't wait to get all my parts. So Hillbill can put it together and do his stock majic to it. Pointman have fun with it , I'M happy for you. Greenhorn

Dave. Yes it is the factory contour. The stock fit eas close, just had Avery littler sanding to do, although the barrel is not yet free floating but close.

Congrats!!!! I really like seeing these conversions because it offers another reliable option at an affordable price. Compared to the price of several top end sub guns the conversion is a deal IMO and you can shoot whichever you want. I may have to go to the gun show tomorrow and see if anyone has a700ML SS for sale cheap .

For the basics you need a 700ML donor action, bolt, and trigger, a bolt kit from member "hunter", a .186 recoil lug (stock lug will work, but recommend Calahan tapered from Midway, or McGowen if bedding), barrel from McGowen (DMB) or Pacnor (DD 700ML), Savage 10ML-II breechplug. Stock can be factory or aftermarket 700ADL short action.
