Now a days buying bullets isnt so cheap. Ecspecially if you like pretty polymer tips on them. I wish everything was as easy as XTP'S. 100 bullets for around $16.00 bucks. Not bad at all and yes they work on game trust me. I think Cecil at prbullet has the best way. Packages of 12 bullets. That lets you buy a variety of different weights and sizes to try in your Muzzleloader. We all know what works in one ML doesnt always work in the next. Most of the time a different sabot will correct that. I wish all bullet companies would loose the sabots. I dont trust the bullet companies on what sabot i'm getting. I learned along time ago to toss them as soon as i get them. To me 12 is the number with an option to buy in bulk when you find the right bullet for you and your Muzzleloader.
What way do you guys like?

I'am with you on just buying the bullets, when i first tried the parker bullets, Bob sent me so many diff sizes to try at no charge. That is what i use now, you can get them with or without sabots, and he will make them in any dia. They are not that cheap but you can get what you want. I have alot of cecils bullets too.

I would like the option of buying all bullets in bulk. I can't imagine what a Barnes Original would cost, if it came with a sabot in a package of 12? $20 probably. I wish you could order a bunch of the Parkers in bulk. I would be much more inclined to find a good shooting load with them. Luckily I bought some pre-opened ones so I will be trying them. But if they shoot good I'm limited to buying packs of 12.

I got a good deal once on SSTs in bulk that were blems, from Midway I think. Cheap shooting and they have performed well on paper, I did not use them for hunting.

Need to be able to get a trial size pack maybe 12 to 15 bullets without any sabots In this way we could pick the bullet sabot combo that works for our gun. Then offer the bullets in bulk packaging 50 or a 100 to a box. I'm tired of bullet manufacturers trying to tell us what sabot we need in our firearm. No two are necessarily the same in what they will shoot accurately.

been a while scince i logged on was surprised the board had a new address, grouse i think we have mutual aquantances, as for bullet purchases i but 300gr in hornadys xtp, i have shot nothing bigger than deer sized game, and they perform well from as close as 35yds to a distance of a lasered 165, and at 100yds on paper they almost kiss, so in my opinion i don't change anything that aint broke

so in my opinion i don't change anything that aint broke 250grn and 300grn XTP'S are awesome bullets for Deer no doubt. The 275grn Parker BE is a little better in my opinion. I'm just always looking for better.

IMO any of the bullet makers are raping purchasers when their bullets are over $1 apiece. It doesn't matter if they add a 5-cent sabot to it or not.
