Guys, I am trying to find out the correct name for the part of the gun stock that is held in the hand of the trigger finger. Does that make sense? I want to write to a gun manufacturer to complain about how thick the stock is in that area and I would like to use the correct name in my correspondence to them so I don't come off sounding like a "dufus". Thanks for any help. BOBinIN

Best I found but I was taught it was the small of the stock if it was a straight grip and the pistol grip if it was a pistol grip style stock as shown in the photo. I have also heard of it called the wrist. What they have as the grip is the grip cap,
