Well I sit here this mid morning savoring my cup of coffee. Reflecting on some other thing's in life that I savor, Family,Friends, memories that have been made in my life. Somewhat saddened by those who have gone on before. But yet grateful for those who I have crossed path's with. And that is to include those little names and letter's of those here on this board. I would know nothing of Savage smokeless if it weren't from another fella on a board that I used to frequent telling me about this place. I read and read and became interested...then hooked,,,then owner,,,, then involved,,,then somewhat of a teacher,to my son. But for not for the people here the mod's and member's I would know nothing of the possibilities of the savage. My questions are answered, advice is offered. Friendship and wisdom are plentiful. I see a little friendship rivalry going on..And wait for the day when I am a capable shooter who can compete with these "Old Mossy Horn's" . But the point of my post is to say Thank You for making me feel "At Home" I applaud you for compassion in our sport. Thank You Again. Drop

Drop- I think alot of people feel the same way. I have alot more friends since coming to this board. I hope someday I can help instead of asking all the questions. Sure makes winter a little more bearable where its cold.
There are teachers, listeners, shooters, hunters, and friends! What more can you ask for?

I have visited many hunting and shooting websites and forums seeking good information and have found very valuable info that assists me in my never ending endeavor to do and have better and better. Even though many of them have been very helpful to me I can say with no hesitation that Dougs Message Board is far and away the most expressive and helpful of them all. That is a tribute to some of the pioneers of this message board and to those that have been so willing to share helpful information to anyone who seeks it.
I was shooting at a public shooting range when I noticed a guy that was shooting a muzzleloader that didn't smoke the place up. I asked him about his smokeless front stuffer and he said that he was trying out some new type of sabots to see if he could shoot tighter groups. He also told me that someone on an online forum just shipped him the sabots free of charge. I knew immediately it had to come from someone on this board and when I told him that he must have received those sabots from someone on Doug's Message Board he was suprised that I knew that. He thought I must have had a crystal ball or something. I told him that the men there are so helpful and willing to help in any way.
This message board provides an attraction to us because we wish that all of society could be as interested in the welfare of others as this board seems to be. It is also very refreshing to disagree with someone with an absense of malice. No question is out of bounds......no opinion discarded. Maybe Obama will do a study here to see why men of different backgrounds and heritage can be so respectful and helpful even though they sometimes don't see eye to eye........Ya think?
Doug

I believe Dougedwards really summed this one up nicely. Really can’t add anything more here after that summation.
Rexxer by sharing your experiences it adds to the boards quality and knowledge. I believe you already are participating (helping).

My experience here is much the same as Drops, I visit other sites on a regular basis and this is by far the best bunch of gents on the web(THE BEST). any newby can visit here and ask ANY question and get a prompt answer without being made feel like a fool, try that elsewhere! For smokeless muzzleloading this is THE place. There is not a day that goes by that I dont read every post on here , my wife thinks Im a nutcase (shes' right I guess) but just to let you guys know I appreciate longtimers and newbys alike, Guess we could be called a family of sorts, thats my feelings anyway.....Bill

I also very much enjoy the time I spend here on a daily basis. I also frequent the MM board, but as I'm trying to get my 45 going I keep spending more and more time here. I don't really contribute anything to the forum, but I sure do enjoy learning from all of you guys. Not only are the members of this board extremely knowledgable, but they're fun to hang out with!

It is FAMILY. We are all here contributing and receiving. When you post you are making a contribution and BTW, As a writer of sorts, I read the replies to this thread and I commend you all for good writing. You have made your thoughts clear and in doing so made me and many others feel better. I personally post often and deal with a wide variety of subjects but I have more appreciation for you folks than you can imagine. This is a big part of my present life. Being house bound, and confined to a power chair I am usually found here reading, writing and in many cases being boring to you guys. But, let me be candid. I need you and you are benefiting me enormously. Thank you all. Ben

Undoubtedly the best forum and the best bunch of guys..........Yes, you too Tarbaby! Not too long ago I was a "newby" to the smokelss ML thing. Before long several members took me under their wings and got me on the straight and narrow path I look forward, everyday, to reading, learning and contributing where I can. Richard

Younghunter, you're wrong; you do contribute to the Board just by asking questions. Your questions may make us look at things in ways other than we normally would, and the answers you receive often help others, also. If you hang around long enough and shoot often, the time will come when you are answering the questions.

Man what can I say other than I truly appreciate all of the feedback and support I have gotten. Both firearm related and personal.
Last year when my sister was dying from breast cancer you guys gave me spiritual support and really helped me through it. Then later when I asked if you guys wanted to contribute to the Susan Kohman walk I was doing you where right there!
You guys are truly caring, in-touch with the sport of shooting the Savage, and friend to boot. ;D

Most homes don't get along as good as we do. As long as we can keep Edge and Richard in neutral corners. ;D " He's touching me." Now thats a Classic. This is the only forum I belong to because of the great group of characters that we have here. The knowledge base, well..........Priceless! Steve

I have said it numerous times but it warrants restatement. I owe all my success and especially the quickness at which I attained it with my 10ML-II to the superb persons that call this awesome website home.
If anyone is having a hard time deciding weather or not to invest in a 10ML-II, just spend a little time hear like I did (well I spent A LOT OF TIME HERE) prior to buying and you will most likely see it as the no-brainier as I did.
FOR THE MONEY there is no ML out there that offers a combination of being better made, more versatile and more accurate than the 10ML-II.

I agree with everything people say about this board. It seems I know so many people without ever seeing them. Some day I think it would be nice to have a thread with pictures to see who is behind that voice. I have seen pictures when someone posted and the person does not look like I imagine.
I think Tar mentioned this once and I have always remembered that. So Drop, for your next project...........!!!

Fowlplay............Look at it this way, if Edge and I didn't go head to head once in a while, you would miss out on the different prospectives we put forth! ;D It is OK to disagree and have different points of view. Thank God for this United States of America where we CAN express our point of view and not be persecuted for it. Richard
