Did some trading a while back for a 1894 357 Marlin. Installed a tang rear sight and a taller front sight both made by Marbles. Love to shoot that gun. Then yesterday I stumbled onto a 1894 in 44 mag. Did some more trading and brought it home to. Don't know why but I did. A man should have one gun for every year of his age. ;D And at least 1000 rnd. of ammunition to go with it. Warren

Warren I am sure you are gonna like the new 44. I have been using one for deer here in Indiana the last several years and have found it effective and enjoyable. Not a tack driver by any means, but very handy and shoots well enough to get the job done.

Rifleman I traded off a sweat little CZ 22Hornet that shot great. But I just didn't shoot it. I was amazed at the difference an 18 in barrel makes with the 357. I'd love to use either of these deer hunting but the state of Iowa says no. I've been having trouble with the 357 shooting cast. But the boys over on cast boolits have me straightened away on that. Have you shot much cast in your? Thanks Warren

I gave up shooting lead years ago, I hate cleaning the lead out of my barrels.
