I have three or four sets of binoculars. Most are ok but what I had left something to be desired. Not enough magnification, not clear enough, not easily adjustable for my eyes and glasses. I did some looking on line and ordered a set of Nikon Monarch 10x56 6 degrees. This was several months ago. One remark was they were heavy. True, but I found that the weight helped hand tremor. I use them almost daily and couldn't be happier. Christal clear vision, plenty of magnification, easy to adjust to my eyes and my glasses. After viewing through most binoculars it takes some time for my eyes to adjust to viewing without them. Not these. I am writing this knowing that if someone buys a set like them I will be helping them. I rate them a five star PLUS. Ben

I've had my eye on a set of Vortex Vipers or Razors, but can't find a review on them, might have to jump and be the test dummy.

Al,
I don't know if you are familiar with the site, 24 Hour Campfire.com, but they have a great Optics forum. I frequent that place daily and have learned tons about optics. Camera Land of New York is one of their sponsors and they have great deals on numerous brands of optics.
Anyway, to sort of answer your question, both the Razor and Viper lines are outstanding. However, from what I have read there from various owners, it sounds like the Viper line is a better buy than the Razor. The Razor may be a tad better but you will pay quite a bit more for it. If you haven't already, create a user ID and stuff for 24Hour Campfire and get on there and do some searches on those Vortex lines and I think you will find plenty to read and consider. Oh, and right now, Camera Land has some excellent prices/deals on both of those Vortex lines which you can see on their sale postings there.
Good luck!
