How do you pull down a Knight Disc rifle bolt to clean all the crud out of it?
It looks like it is put together like a Mauser bolt but I am not sure what will happen if I take that allen head flat screw out of the back. Does it screw into the firing pin and hold everything together under spring tension?
Trying to clean up a old Knight Super Disk.

smokepole50Do not take the allen screw out of the back... Take down depends on which bolt you have. There is one that you need a 'c' tool for or one that you can just screw in the secondary safety to remove the core. PM me your email and I will send you a PDFD manual. If you have the bolt that requires the 'c' tool take a look at this picture... If you do not have the this bolt yu have the newer bolt and you just screw the secondary safety in until it releases the core assembly...

I would think it is the older bolt because I started taking it apart today and had to pull back on the cocking piece to re-set the firing pin assembly in the right position in the bolt body. I'll try the wrench spacer and see if everything will clear the bolt body when I screw it out.
Thanks, Smokepole50
