I know 2015 is best suited to the heavier bullets, but for now I'm only shooting 250 grainers.
My question is: in the new load archive there are both duplex loads and single-powder loads for 2015. Should I bother duplexing this one with light bullets? Is this a hard powder to ignite?

2015 might be great for heavier bullets in a 50 cal but but in a 45 cal 195-200gr bullets it's excellent.

No, it's not hard to ignite. The problem is getting enough pressure to not have a temp sensitive load. Temp sensitivity occurs when the pressure for the powder being used is too low and the pressure varies considerably depending on the temperature of the load. This is overcome with the slower powders by using a relatively fast(and pressure building) powder under the slower powder so it reaches working pressure quickly, as in a cartridge gun, and then can burn as it was designed. You will be able to develope an extremely accurate load with virtually any bullet in virtually every smokeless ML caliber(40,45,50,??375), but it's velocity will vary considerably with temp changes if the working pressure is below the mid-hi 30s. You'll need a whole lot of 2015 in 45s and 50 cals with light bullets to have enough pressure. Likely 90-100g would be a starting point for a 250g bullet in a 50.

8-)2015 is an excellent primary powder for 250 grain bullets shot with a duplex loads.
Any load that works with H322 would work as well if not better with 2015. In 45 caliber 2015 may be the best over all choice for any weight bullet.
When shot with enough pressure is as accurate an temperature insensitive as any powder shot from a big bore rifle.
