The 140gr VLD at about 3400fps from the same rifle kills 'em pretty dead also.

I had one do a nose plow into the dirt and never move this year with a 6.5-284 and a 130 VLD Hunting. She never moved another muscle. The shot was 240 yards and it was still 2 inches above point of aim sighted in 1.5 high at 100. I cannot figure out why they are carrying that far without dropping. I emailed Brian Litz and he couldn't figure it out. I had it dead on at 100 and it was 1.5 high at 200, so I chronographed it at the target from 190 and it was still doing 3120 on average of 5 shots with MV right at 3300. Nothing under 3107. If that is the case I should only be about 2-3 inches below POA at 400. I like the VLDs. I have not yet seen one move after being hit with a 130 or 140 6.5mm VLD either, but didn't list it because I have only used it on 4 so far.

30 cal 150 grain barnes X @3400 fps worked good to 350 yards. I try to hit them in the pie plate! After skin is off I have found a clean hole 3" all the way threw.
