I will post pics later...
I finally shot a deer past the 200 yd mark. This is why I went to Savage. Right after legal shooting light I spot a deer in the field. I glass her, range her and then shoot her. When I first spotted her she was moving at a pretty good clip. I made sure no horns and then ranged her when she slowed to a walk, 211 yds. Got the gun up, made a brief compensation for distance and then fired when she paused walking forward. I immediately saw stars and the deer lurch from the shot.
I had left the power setting on the scope at 3 and forgot to turn it up... so I was crawling forward on the stock to get a better look when I fired. She ran about 40 and piled up from a heart shot. There was a 3-4 ft wide path of sprayed blood for most of that 40.
Found out later it was a large button...
Later in the morning, about 8 am, my buddy calls in a yote. He shoots it at 82 yards. It was a good shot we found out later, but it ran and stooped 190 yds from me. I fire and take it out at the back knees... literally.
It was a good morning except for getting scoped on the first shot.

I was using a Barnes BO, Harvester Black Crush Rib, 70grn of RL7, and Fed 209A primer.
Forgot to mention that I ranged back to the stand from the spot the button paused when I shot him.
