The best rifle for deer is the rifle that missfires. The best rifle for the hunter to hunt deer with is a choice made from a dozen or more great ones. My friend took a nice one on our place with his .160. Another was with a 25-06. A large boar hog guessed at 300 lbs. was taken with a .243. Worms have been found in the intestines of deer taken. Is that unusual? Is the meat still ok? A friend is smoking the hams of the hog (first seen in the area). I skipped the hunt this year. Who knows, maybe next year. Ben

We are just getting hogs in our area down on the white river bottoms at aberdeen, between clarendon and St. Charles on the White close to Stuttgart.
