OK, i have two savage ml-1 50 cal muzzle loaders and wondered what it takes to change it over to a 45cal PAC nor barrel or is it possible to change it over? I already changed a ml-2 over to a 45 cal PAC nor and love it.Thanks mac111

:)MAC same dd barrel just tell them you need a large thank. Then you will need to get a savage hybrid plug from Pete at pa machine that except cases. Then you will need some .243,.308 cases. Cut them down to .890 and measure them on the plug. Keep the ones that are exactly the same and use them for headspace and priming and get rid of the rest. Goodluck

So If I wanted to keep a Ml-1 with factory barrel and wanted to get rid of the modules I could just change to a savage hybrid breech plug from Pete at pa machine shop and be good to go?

I have one of Petes ml1 modified b/p for my ml 1 I just need to get the bolt nose from Savage. Everything I see looks great and if any questions get in touch with Daved He would have a lot more answers than myself. But I do know in the next couple of days I'll be ordering some b/p and a 308 bolt nose. Thank you for sharing. It is was not for the unselfish sharing of people here I would probable be back to a bb gun. Jon
