I took a Sightron off my ML because of a flake in the tube, not having any trouble with POI,just wanted to get repaired/replaced and sight in before next deer season.I mailed to Sightron on 2-05,called Sightron on 2-10 and they told me they had not received.Nice lady on telephone(BIG PLUS SOMEONE THAT SPEAKS ENGLISH ANSWERED THE PHONE) said she would check with the Post Office.Somehow the Post Office was holding the scope for an unknown reason.Nice Lady said she picked up scope on 2-11 and would give to tech.I received new Scope via UPS yesterday,2-17.I had heard about Sightron's GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and now I can testify too it.My next new scope will be a Sightron.I search for price in anything but great customer service adds value to a product.Maybe this is why Sightron is one of the fastest growing scope companies.

They are a bit under rated. The Sightron S-Is may be a bit weak mechanically for the 10ML but the S-IIs are great. And the glass on the S-IIIs is some of the best coming out of Japan.
There are supposed to be some new models coming out and hopefully bigger tubes in the S-II line.

I also shoot a Sightron on my Savage. So far about 200 total shots on two different Savages mostly with light recoil loads but still I say a good scope. Mine is a S-II.

That has been my experience with Sightron. When I sent them a SII with a stuck side adjustment they shipped me a brand new Big Sky model in it's place since they didn't make that particular model in SII anymore. To buy a used Sightron is almost as good as buying a new one.

My "Wish List" scope is a Sightron Big Sky 3-12x42. It doesn't have a side focus or AO so less hassel when hunting. Sightron's warranty is hard to beat.

Sightron Big Sky 3-9 or 3-12 will be my next scope.

I am not sure about handling the recoil, mines on a AR. But the sightron big sky scopes are awesome. Best glass I own (better than my nikon monarchs and burris FFII's, I dont have a large selection) IMO its a better scope than the vx-III, which a friend of mine has. The are offering a $50 rebate on them this year. The tracking is also much better than my other scopes. 4 clicks really is a inch at 100, and it is every time.

Sightron 3x9x42 S II Bigsky. 650-700 shots. Most fairly stiff. No problem yet.

The new Monarch's have the same glass as the older Monarch UCC's. Basically you are getting more eye relief and more forgiving eyebox. I have two of UCC's (3-9) and one of the new Monarchs(2.5-10). Personally, the power adjustment knob is hard to use with gloved hands, or bare hands for that matter, on the new Monarchs. In addition I think the duplex is thinner. I also have an Sightron SII 3-9x42. Very comparable to the Monarchs. If I were you I'd go with the new SII Big Sky 3-9x42! I think you can get them for ~$300. There is also a $50 rebate on Big Sky products going on right now.

Glad I could be of service. How is the power adjustment knob? It looks like it should be easy to adjust. As mentioned before, my main gripe with the newer Monarchs is there is nothing to get a grip on. It will be awhile, but eventually a 3-9, or 3-12 Big Sky is in my future.

I recently picked up a Sightron Big Sky 3.5-10x42 and planned on putting it on my 10ml. I was really impressed it. About three weeks later I got a great deal on a Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10x44. Comparing the two, the Zeiss seems a little bit clearer, but not enough to get rid of the Big Sky. The only decision now is which scope goes on which gun?
