I bought a NULA this year and have been spending some time at the range to find a load for deer season. I was wondering how often you guys go without cleaning your mz. If you find the load you want after say 30 rounds at the range do you just wait until the season is over to clean the barrel. I run two dry patches through the barrel after every shot and really have had no problems at the range. I have not shot the barrel dirty yet to see how accuracy would be affected. Right now I'm getting around 1" groups at 100 yards and 2" groups at 200 yards with 42 gr. of 4759, a 300 gr. PT Gold and a black crush ribbed sabot. I may not have much more range time so if this is my go to load I would just like to leave the barrel as is. I know I'm shooting smokeless and there should be no problem but you guys are the experts.
Also what do you guys use for speedloaders? Thanks.

I go to the range with a clean gun. I shoot 3-5 shots to ensure it is on.Then I do not clean the rest of the season. The only thing I will do is break the breech plug once or twice through out the season.

I go to the range before season, this week, and shoot 2 primers on a clean barrel. Then begin the 0 check procedure. 1 shot to see where it is. Then cool barrel and another check shot. Then wait another 30 min and a 3 shot group, with 15 min wait between shots, for check. No cleaning. Then it all OK I'll load for hunting. Next day or 3 days back to range and shoot for "kill" as per hunting, what happened? No cleaning, my gun likes the "dirty" barrel. Load is 42 gr. 4759 and orange sabot and 300 gr. 458 bullet, dosen't seem to matter which bullet just so it's .458 and 300 grains. I'm shooting about the same load as you with same result except I'm using the orange sabot. Shoots moa or better at 100 yds. I'll clean it and put away when season and shootin is done in January. ML season opens here in VA on Oct 30 and I'm at range today until... Well, have a new to me MLII to work on and that will be another couple of days to see what's going on but the "death ray" gun is ready. Oh yeah, the group of us guys that shoot MLIIs have been "banned" from the local turkey shoot with ML guns competitions! Seems when we're shootin that nobody else can win. 10 ga
