What kind of tree stand do use, does anyone have any feedback on the "tree saddle"?

Being a senior citizen, I decided I wanted something that went all the way to the ground, not something hanging on the side of a tree. Two years ago I bought a Loggy Bayou 15' Brush Ladder Stand (also available in 18' length). It breaks down into 3' sections and only weighs about 30 lbs. They have improved the way the sections fit together from what it used to be. I pack it in on an old Boy Scout pack frame and can set it up in about 5 minutes. It's kinda narrow - ladder is only about 10" wide, but widens at the top for the stand and seat. Here's the link to Loggy Bayou - www.loggybayou.com/2006pages/brushladder.htm I see that the 15' stand is only $50, but they are currently out of stock. You may be able to find it somewhere else. There are also many other, larger ladder stands available, but I hunt public land and have to remove it after each days hunt, so this one works well for me. Good Luck

This will be my stand in a few days. trying to decide if I should put columns next to the stairway that will lead to the porch. Does anyone have suggestions for wall colors and carpeting???

I have an equalizer tree stand for big men 300# weight limit. It's a very unique stand. You can adjust it when you have reached your dwestination. It really comes in handy, ever use your climbing tree stand only too realize it's not level. With my stand you can level it w/o coming down, it adjust up the tree. But doubt if I ever get to use it any more. But it was great when i could. Cvickers that ain't no tree stand it's a hotel. I had an old boat trailer I am putting a platform on it and am building my little hut this way I can pull it to where ever I want to hunt. Lou

Have 3 old home made climbers from the plans you could get out of the hunting rags back in the 70s. Got a Hunters View a couple of years ago and it's sturdy and works good but is heavy. Tried every one I could of the guys I hunt with. (about 15 different kinds) My choice, same as Splinter, Summit Viper. Just ML and gun hunt no bow hunting. The Viper is sturdy, easy to use, comfortable, light for it's size and was a gift from my wife. October 30 coming and I can hardly wait. 10
