Was back at the range this morning helping another fellow with his savage and setting up my 50 incase me or someone in camp wants to use it. I took the 45 also,I wanted to clean it check it out again incase I didn't get to shoot again before the 14th. At 100 it was still right at 2 in high and 200 it touched the dot at 3o'clock.At 300 it was 2 in low at 5 o'clock turned the scope 2 clicks to the left and fired again but didn't change much.So turned it up 2 clicks and allmost dead center. I am not going to touch it again untill the 14th of this month. And believe it or not the group is on a clean target. You can see it real well.

most would be happy with that at 100, that's some fine shooting there.

Nice shooting Herman and the target looks great. I just told Richard to stop picking on you about those targets on another thread!

Now, now! Is it not nice to be able to clearly see what you want to show? Herman..........I am proud of you. ( I still don't really care for those "shoot and see" targets - as you can see, that hole in the center looks more like a double ) With .40 and .45 cal bullets, a blind man can see the holes on a "clean" target ;D) For me, those targets are nice when shooting very long distance with small caliber rifles and your scope/spotting scope cannot pick up the hits........thats all, just me personally Richard

Dave..............I don't know about the 14X scope What I do know, is that if you have the right size bullseye, low power scopes can be very effective. I used to shoot short range benchrest in a class called Hunter or Varmint Hunter. Here we had to use nothing higher than 6X. I used a Burris 6x with target turrets and AO and a .3 dot. With the benchrest targets, I could easily align that dot in the center. There was enough white surrounded by the black outer rings to do this. I shot many a match where I shot perfect 250 scores (you had to hit or at least nick the 1/2" center plus a high of 18X where you had to hit a 1/8" dot (which was the the X). So don't count out low power scopes for shooting good groups or scores. Richard
