I have only been here since I think Dec 09 and I became a "Mossy Horn" ONLY by asking questions. I then took my new ML11 out and did everything my way. I have been hunting with rifles, MLers and pistols for 57 years. I lurked here for a while and really liked what I read. I (maybe) ask all those questions to get some attention but I knew how to clean a new rifle and get all the factory gunk off, I thought I did anyway. I knew how to work up a load for a MLer, I thought I did. I am the guy at my Hunt Club who gets everyones Rifle and MLer shooting right and then dialed in. It took me six or seven wasted months to prove I didn't know squat about smokeless MLers. Guys and Gals, you not only have to ask and listen BUT it will save you a lot of headaches and frustration if you do as these folks recommend. Just two from an ole man who cares

deadon, birds of a feather flock together and IMO most members on this board are a cut above the rest. I know I am proud to be accepted here. The members here don't attempt to cause others to feel depressed or unwanted. Sometimes I post things meant to be entertaining and attempt to give others a smile but I can be serious and attempt to provide help to those who need it. You are an asset to the board and a valuable member. Some people visit the board and rarely make a comment. That is fine. Every member and every visitor is valuable in their own way. I make a lot of post and responses but that is because this is a big part of my life. Yes, I would much rather be hunting something or maybe even following a good hound at night. But being unable to do these things doesn't dampen my spirits. Here, I feel that I am with friends and that I am accepted. Maybe even respected. In either case we are all in this together and everyone pulls their weight.

You Ozark are a giver and I am goin to school on you. Thanks again, Rusty

Deadon, There are many of us on this board who have been humbled by the Savage 10 ml.,myself included. Pride kept me from getting on track much sooner than I did.Once I realized I did not know diddly squat about the nature of the beast it all came together! ;D ;D It is the male nature thing that makes it harder than it has to be.

Move over because I fall into this classification also. Lack of knowledge isn't stupidity but not admitting to it is stupidy. Sorry if it's starting too feel crowded here. ;D Ed

Joined back in spring of 09 and like Rusty the MLII taught me, once again, about being humble and how to listen to advice. Thanks to a couple of local guys who come on here sometimes and the guys here I finally danced with the fickle mistress without a misstep. In fact I have come to love her and now I becoming a polygamist. Have another MLII and a SML barrel on my Encore to learn new dance steps with. Yeah, I got the basics and guess now I'll get another dose of humble pie. If they want to enjoy their time with me in the field theyll have to be friendly and proper and not too obstinate, I hope. Aint it fun. Welcome all newbies and oldies too. 10 ga

Deadon
I qualify as both a newbie and a thickhead =)
Dont quit what you do here guys. My group last spring at 50 yards was 18" with 2 keyholes then I discovered this board. This week I shot a 200 yard 1.5" group!!!
I dont say this as ANY attestment to my (in)ability. I owe all of the progress made to this board. I read and read and then read some more and tried to apply what you guys were saying as best I could.
If it wasnt for this board I would not be hunting with my Savage today... so THANK YOU
Ed
