I've put this 45 ml 700 together with spare parts, so far so good. I've got a new bolt coming but if I'm right it's lacking the bolt stop and firing pin assembly. Now I'm just looking for the bolt stop and cocking piece (I'm going to go with hunters firing pin setup) and want to know if the J lock style will interchange with the regular style (don't care if the lock works or not). There are a couple on g broker for 20 bucks. Thanks Ron

Ron, the 700 ml firing pin is unique to that model. Try www.E-gunparts.com to see if they have the parts. I think the J lock style is of a different diameter. Or try Remington Parts on their website. Good Luck

ambrose it's not the firing pin itself that I'm looking for it's what I would call the shroud and the cocking piece but it's not how any of the web sites (brownells, numrich, etc) list them. The pin itself would come with the conversion kit.

Ron, On Remington's Parts website I believe they call the shroud a BOLT PLUG. Carbon is Pt#F17012 and StnStl is Pt#F97443. Good Luck!

I ordered a short action firing pin from brownells, made sure that it would fit, took a file and a drill (sort of a home made lathe) and turned down the area right in front of the shoulder, cut to length and it works like a charm. If I ordered the shroud and the cocking piece seperate it was going to be more than if I just ordered the pin so I gambled and it worked out this time
