I recieved a new ml 700 45 cal barrel assembly from numrich (yep probably paid to much) my thinking is to put a trigger on it and just swap the bolt/breech plug and drop it in the same stock. The bolt stop pin and the sear pin that hold the trigger on are restricted parts and you have to have a ffl to get them, If I still had my C & R they would sell them to me, which is silly also as 700's aren't a C & R gun. Anyone know any way around this silly requirement by remington.

Bolt stop pin, you mean the one that screws in the side of the reciever to hold the bolt in, is a restricted part?

the shank of a 1/8 drill bit seems to fit pretty well. Might be what I end up using a 9/64 might be better. Ah things to play with and restrictions to over come, aint it great

If you look on Ebay there is a guy that sells trigger springs and such. I believe it's Ernie's Springs. He also sells the pin kits for 700 triggers for 10-12 bucks. I wish I had better info for you ,but this may give you a start. Or try the 6mmBR site. Good Luck!
