A little background. I won this 700 Ml youth on gunbroker for 180 + 20 s & h with the idea that it was going to get a 45 pac nor on her. The 209 conversion has been installed but get this the gun had never been shot, packing grease still in the bore. I have this thing about unshot guns I just can't leave them be so I slapped a 2 1/2 scope and a limb saver pad (slip on) on her this am. Ran 10 rounds of bh 209 (60 gr by weight) grabbed some t7 pellets and off I went. Now if I had never shot her, she would still be destin to be a smokless but I think I need to order a bolt kit / breech plug from hunter and leave her the way she is. The bh was intesting, burning powder after it left the bore and started hang firing after 3 shots (but the holes touched @ 50. 4 loads with t7 before it started hang firing but all the holes could be covered with a quarter (cept one that was me) @ 50. The cute little thing (20" tube) just want's to shoot. Just curious does anyone know how much velocity I'm loosing in this short 20" tube.

I mentioned this on a pm I sent you. I do not know the velosity you will loose but out to 150 I think you will be impressed with 100 - 110 gr. of blackhorn.

Ive got a 700 youth model. Its shoots better than I can shoot it. Dropped a pile of deer with it over the years.

I have 2 of them and they are the best heavy timber deer rifles that you could ask for. Mine have been converted to .32ACP ignition and 120 grd T7 FFFG clocks 1908fps with a 250gr T/C PTX bullet and Harvester short black sabot and holes touch at 100yds. 130grs of T7 FFFG yields 1980fps but the groups open up to 1 1/4" at 100yds. I also use Rx7 in them but you'll have to PM me for that info. The shorter stock on the Youth rifles handles and fits perfect in the treestand with your heavy coat.
