I have a Horton Dakota that has the mounting equipment and a scope mounted on it. Also built in is a system to cam the sight or scope up or down with respect to the arrow channel. This is supposed to change the distance of your zero by approximately 7 yards per click. If you are zeroed so that 2 hits the mark at 20 yards, 3 will change zero to app. 27 yards. Naturally that differs with the weight of the bolt and broadhead. But I have found it very helpful. Are there other crossbows with this feature? This is the only bow I have shot. I have taken deer, turkey, raccoon, squirrel and one groundhog that came in to fill up on corn.

Ozark, my Horton also had that feature, but I filed the ears off the adjustment because the string cocking device moved it every time I cocked the bow. I ended just using the range-compensating crosshairs within the scope.

Ben, Years ago, a # of x-bows tried "dial-a-range". They tended to be problematic. Nearly all dropped d-a-r. There is an outstanding product named the HHA Optimizer which is an excellent d-a-r that will retro-fit onto any Weaver type x-bow scope base. I have the "famed" 50mm WCE scope on my Strikeforce and use the Optimizer. It works as advertized. It is well advanced beyond the Horton d-a-r and has a dial with yardages marked in 1 yd intervals. It works for all speeds from just >200'/sec to >400+'/sec. X-bows have advanced significantly in the past 2 years. The new Hawke 30mm scope(s) is/are an excellent alternative(s) to the HHA Optimizer/good scope. There are actually 3 Hawke 30 mm scopes out: Hawke's own label, one sold by Parker which works a little differently, and one sold under the HHA brand designed especially to go with the Optimizer. Hope this helps in knowing what's going on in the x-bow scope/sighting world.

Thanks SW. It is a world of change after change. What was great before is now obsolete. Hope you and family are doing fine. We are both super fine and getting better. Ben
