Rivers West Clothing?

Is Rivers West worth the money for cold weather stand hunting in Michigan?

Help me out, have a chance to purchase at 1/2 price.

The River West stuff is pretty expensive so at half price it would be fair. The clothing does have some good features, specially the armpit zippers to vent like on the ECWCS stuff and is a bit more stretchy then Gore-Tex stuff. As far as heavywieght what I seen didn't fit my definition but then that is where proper layering comes in. If your going to use it sub zero make sure you get it big enough to have stuff underneath. It is not Gore-Tex, it uses like Scotch Guard for waterproofing and while it works great new, if you wash it a few times it is degraded. I would rank Helly Hanson over River West but I do think the River West has some neat features.

I use the rivers west clothing and love it. I use it in southern IL. for hunting and 4 wheeler riding. Have not had any problems with them yet. Had them for over a year with 2 hunting seasons in them.
I have gone thru thorns barbed wire and not come out with a rip yet.
But most of the time their stuff that is half off does not come with their warranty. So you may want to think about that.

I have used the Rivers West for 3 years Now and I feel it was worth the money, I paid full price for it. The clothing works very well for stoping the wind and It is as waterprof as rubber.

This would be 1st class clothing, not seconds, the pricing is from a friend with in store perks.

Riverswest is actually the only water proof clothing that gets more water proof as you wash and dry it and one of the few that can be dried. there are no tape on the seems, the thread is actually dipped each time it passes through the material. when dried the weave of clothing tightens up and seals even better. All of there clothing carries a 10 warrenty and they have great customer service. hands down the best clothing on the market.
