I do most of my hunting from permanant tree stands but once in a while if the leaves are wet I will still hunt, plus I do a lot of squirrel hunting. I make my own shooting sticks using the aluminum tomato stakes covered with green plastic I buy from home depot or lowes. They are about 5' long and very light. I wrap electric tape around the rods in a spiral kind of like the old barber shop thingys. That keeps them from making any noise when I close them up. I then come down about 4 or 5" and wrap 8 0r 10 turns of tape around them so when opened up I have my rifle rest. They are very light in weight and easy to open with one hand and easy to move to adjust for shot. For squirrel hunting I simply cut one in half for sit and hunt sticks. They cost about 89 cents each and Work great
