I had one noted project to complete this Winter and got at it. No lathe work, just drill press and a few other hand tools. What I wanted to do was beef up the front of my Chrony to protect the 1st stage timer a bit more from a potential sabot hit from my muzzle-loader. As I’m a cheapy and love using scrap and leftover components for a challenge it was fun coming up with a simple approach. Didn’t want anything big, as I am carrying enough equipment to the range right now. This is a small and simple attachment shield when the Chrony is setup. By the way my Chrony has a satellite receiver that remains handy at the bench for viewing so it’s out of the way from any harmful hits. It consists of 1x1 aluminum angle, a piece of ¼” plexi-glass, I/8” rubber gasket material, 2-10/32 screws, one 5/16” bolt and a wing nut. Had to buy the wing nut, an outrages $0.45. ;D Anyway here is how she turned out. Hope this sparks other ideas for anyone owning a Chrony. Ed

Thanks Richard My last 2-winter projects felt strange not involving my mini lathe. ;D Come Spring will have to start a new list of projects for next winter. Ed
