Here's a couple pics from Unk Bond at AT who was kind enough to take at the ATA show and send to me. Thanks, Unk ! It shows Jim Kempf with his newest creation. The new bow shoots a 400gr arrow to 425fps and packs 50 more foot lbs of energy over the old model for a total of 160 ft lbs

Yes, it's legal almost everywhere, Doug. Lunchbox, the bow package with 4 arrows, quiver, rope cocker, and scope goes for $1,350.00 The bow alone is $1,199.99 A steal for the performance and quality you get, imo.

Check the dealer list in your area by putting your zip code in the block on this link. scorpyd.com/dealers.aspOr, if a dealer is too far away from your area, you can order direct from Jim Kempf (the owner) via MC or VISA. Ordered my RDT125 direct from Jim last summer and still love it. The RDT 165 in this topic will not be available until April but Jim is taking orders right now if you want to be one of the first to get one when they're ready.

This IS the High Performance x-bow, IMO. It does seem BIG. The Strikeforce is relatively small and shoots a 425g arrow @ 385 and a 400g arrow @ appx 391. I haven't shot a Scorpyd so can't compare. A concern: what if a limb broke while firing? Or a string? What advantages does the 165# Scorpyd have over a SF? The speed is one - likely appx 35'/sec for same wt arrow. Smoothness? Accuracy? Size isn't an advantage, or doesn't seem to be. Noise(SF is relatively quiet for it's speed)? The price for the x-bow seems very fair, IMO.

Hello, SW. Can't say for sure but the design alone should allow the new Scorpyd165 model to be quieter than most but we will have to wait and see. The strings and cables are Winners Choice which are among the best on the market. The new limbs are Barnsdale laminated which are the very best in the world with the highest rating of 210,000 psi. Most other manufacturers limbs are from 140 to 170,000 psi It's a breeze to change the strings and cables on this bow. Watch the video.
