The purple tipped bullets that I have loaded for a 243 are nosler ballistic tips. Not sure but would imagine only one company makes purple tipped bullets for the 243.

I have a model 70 ..243. I don't think I have ever found a bad load even using factory ammo

I use the nosler 95 gr bullets in my gun also. I have found that they group well using the same load data as the 100 gr sierra bullets out of my gun. I get my best accuracy with imr 4064.

Check out the load data on reloadersnest.com A lot of pet loads listed there, just remember to work up to the hot ones. I had a model 70 classic 6.5x55 and it was an amazing rifle, I traded it like a fool, and wish I still had it. It was a good shooter. But I have seen a lot of model 70s that took work.
