I'm looking to buy a new chrony can any one steer me in the right direction.

I'm sure there are a lot of good ones out there. I've had my Pro-Chrono Digital for a couple years. It's performed without a hitch so far. Zen

Panhandle, Midway was out of stock on the chrony, but graf and sons had them even a few bucks cheaper. I have one of them on the way.

When I bought mine I copied the sabot deflector that DW had posted on the old board. I'd give you a photo of mine but my camera is on the kapoots. Lexan is what I used. Zen

You can head to a welding supply store and get a cover plate for a welding hood. Get the impact resistant type. You will not need to lay out the money for a larger sheet of Lexan from a building supply store. I am unsure of the material, but it meets federal specs for impact resistance.

Thanks Richard, when mine gets here I will have to try building one like that one. Like you said every thing fits inside the box, Easy to transport .
